Super Bowl-Who was RIGHT and Who was WRONG

SUPER BOWL- WHO WAS RIGHT AND WHO WAS WRONG

The Patriots defeated the Rams by a score of 13-3 in the Super Bowl on February 3rd. Students and teachers here at Greenway were asked about their Superbowl LIII predictions, and now we can see who was RIGHT and who was WRONG.

   WRONG

Coach Mason, the PE teacher and varsity soccer coach here at Greenway also believed that the Rams would win, and wanted them to win, too (despite being a Cowboys fan). “I want the Rams to win because my son likes the Patriots, and I think the offensive and defensive lines will dictate the winner,” Mason said. The score Coach Mason predicted was 30-27.

    RIGHT

Junior Dominick Land believed that the Patriots were going to win the Superbowl. His reason for this was because “Tom Brady is really good at making comebacks and winning big games”. He predicted the score will be high, with a score of 40-35 with the Patriots taking the win. Land said that Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski will probably be the dynamic duo to win the game. He also said that even though Jared Godd and Todd Gurley are very good players, the Patriots have better players that will play a big role in the game.

   WRONG

Junior Dru Knoebel, a varsity football player here at Greenway, said that the Rams will win because of Todd Gurley. His score prediction was 42-41 Rams. “The key players on each team would probably be Todd Gurley and Rob Gronkowski,” said Knoebel. He also mentioned that the Rams and Patriots was an unexpected match-up for the Superbowl. Knoebel said that it’ll definetely be a high-scoring game because the Superbowl is always highly competitive and each team is going to want it.

   RIGHT

Junior Nick Deaver, also a Varsity Football player at GW believed that the Patriots were going to win. “They’ve had this team in the Superbowl many times, and have succeeded five times before,” said Deaver. He wouldn’t doubt it if they won again. His score prediction is 42-21, and he said the key players on the Patriots are going to be Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski, and Julian Edelman.

   WRONG

Junior Lloyd Bell was also asked about the Superbowl LIII match-up and said that the game-changers would be QB Tom Brady and defensive tackle, Aaron Donald. “I think the Rams will win because on Drake’s sweater the Rams were first,” said Bell. He predicted the score will be 35-41 with the Rams taking the close victory.

   WRONG

Senior Brandon Leak also thought the Rams were going to win the Superbowl. “The Rams are going to win with their high-powered offense,” said Leak. His picks for the biggest players in the game were the Rams RB Todd Gurley and Patriots QB Tom Brady. “I don’t want the Patriots to win because they’re literally the Warriors of football and I want a different team to have the glory this time,” said Leak. His score prediction for the game is 38-41 Rams. He said that it’ll be a close game like the Saints VS Rams game which was 23 to 26 (Conference Championship game).

    WRONG

Devin Aaronson, a junior, who also plays football, thought the Rams were going to win due to their resilient team with a great skillset. “I have faith,” Aaronson said. His prediction for the score is 27-14. He thinks that the most important players in the game are going to be the quarterbacks, Brady and Goff.
