Howdy Do- I Look Up to You

HOWDY DO- I LOOK UP TO YOU

Have you ever thought about where you are in life now and who helped you get here. There are many people out there who wouldn’t be where they are now in life if it weren’t for that special person who inspired them and helped them have the courage and the willpower to do what they’ve always wanted to do. If it weren’t for people who give us inspiration, we wouldn’t have the mindset to accomplish great things such as getting good grades, getting a job we’ve always wanted, or being able to do the sport we’ve always wanted to do.

WHO DO YOU LOOK UP TO?

Freshman Quentin Yazi said, “I really look up to Jackie Robinson because he really¬†stood up for his rights and what he believed in. He was also the first African American to play Major League Baseball. Jackie Robinson was also one of the best baseball players ever and he revolutionized the way America thought about African Americans playing baseball. I also play baseball and he helps me know that I can accomplish my dreams, no matter what.”

Freshman Ramiro Molinares said, “I look up to my mom because she motivates me and pushes me to be the best soccer player I can be. She also puts a roof over my head and I’m thankful for that.”

Junior Aaron ¬†Lopez said, “I look up to Tyler Duncan because he is a strong and confident person and he has helped me be a better team player.”

Junior Luke Parr said, “I look up to Coach Javis because he has helped me be a better football player and a strong, confident person.”

Junior Tyler Duncan said, “I look up to Tom Brady because he is an excellent football player and a great team player, and with 5 Super Bowl wins, he’s pretty great. I want to be a lot like him someday.”

Having somebody to look up to is very special; it’s not somebody who gave you 10 bucks that one time or someone who gave you a little piece of advice at one time. It’s more than that. If you really look up to someone and respect them, they are the reason you are doing what you want to do in life. So, if you look up to a famous football player, basketball player or even someone like your Mom or Dad, those people are really the ones that steer you in the right direction and help you find out what you want to do in life.
