(COACH: ED McQUADE)

(HEADLINES: Your Lady Demons Varsity Softball Team has won the first round of the playoffs. Great job lady demons! Your varsity girls softball team beat the Prescott Badgers last Saturday with a score of 7-4 to advance in the state tournament. The win was a complete team effort, but key hits were made by Audrie Lumpkin, Bekah Castillo and Kylie Fox to help drive in runs. One major hit was made by junior Kristena Lopez as she drove in 2 runs to put the Demons on top for the rest of the game. Great defensive plays were made by 3rd baseman Brandi Michels and 2nd baseman CC Silva to help pitcher Karlee Leyvas keep the badgers off base. It was a great way to start off the state tournament and thank you all for coming out and showing your support for the varsity team. Tomorrow, your lady Demons travel down to Tucson to face Canyon Del Oro at 4pm. Make sure to give them your support as softball continues down the road for a state win!)

Catcher Kylie Fox and pitcher Karlee Leyvas worked well together to hold CDO to no runs for 4 strong innings. Today, your varsity girls travel down to Thunderbird for a game at 4 with JV and Freshman at home. Tomorrow is our home opener against Cactus Shadows. Game time is at 7, make sure to clear your schedule and find time to make it to the game to cheer on your demons.
